A Tour of the High Dunes House' Second FloorThe Second Floor welcomes you with a stairwell library of built-in floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. Past the bookshelves, a hallway provides entry to Bedroom #3, Bedroom #4, the Second Floor Screened Porch, and a large linen closet with laundry connections. These accomodations are great for accommodating for guests. Or, taken as a whole, the Second Floor makes an ideal Master Suite with private porch. Before starting our B&B, our original plan was to use Bedroom #3 as our personal Master Bedroom, and to use Bedroom #4 as a private upstairs den and reading room.
With its breezy screened porch and homey bedrooms, the Second Floor serves as a wonderful quiet getaway. The photo below is taken from the roof of the Breezeway House: notice how the Second Floor Porch peeks out from behind the exterior stairs. At first glance from the outside, you don't even know its there. Notice too how the Second Floor (not to mention the Third Floor) is high enough to provide sea views that are well above the roof peaks of the million dollar homes that are built back behind the dunes from which the High Dunes House presides. ![]() This page is about the Second Floor within The High Dunes House.
